The Tumel ski mountaineering Route

The path begins just above the departure point of the Magnolta gondola, with the run on the left. It leads past a derelict barn and ascends all the way up to "Foppe", upwards along the fields, with the ski slope to the left, then up to the path which leads to Malga Magnolta in the summer.

The route in brief

In the winter, the snow-covered mountains of Aprica create the perfect conditions for skimo enthusiasts. The best time of the year is from late winter to spring, when the snow is consolidated and offers countless opportunities for magnificent excursions on the snow.

Half of the slopes in Aprica are ideal for beginners or those for whom skiing is synonymous with relaxation.

The Baradello Superpanoramica - Europe's longest illuminated ski slope

The longest blue slope of the ski area, as of this year the Superpanoramica is also Europe's longest illuminated slope! For anyone who never grows tired of skiing, this slope is even open in the evening. From the top of Baradello, at 2000m, to the town: a 700 m drop along around 6 km of spacious and fun slope.

A select, but wonderful few: there are just 4 difficult runs in the Aprica&Corteno ski area, each an immense source of satisfaction for the most proficient skiers.

As you ski, or perhaps more frequently as you ascend on the lifts, you may come across tracks left in the fresh snow by birds, hares, foxes, and squirrels.

What is more, along the ski slopes of Aprica special encounters are far from rare! Along the "B" and especially the "C" slopes of Palabione, which lead towards the town, you'll easily see steinbocks and chamois that live inside the Alpine Nature Wildlife Sanctuary of Aprica.

Aprica and Corteno embrace a vast ski area with all kinds of ski slopes, from blue to black, to satisfy everyone, from beginners to the most proficient of skiers. The Campetti area is located in the heart of the town and is a veritable paradise for children learning to ski for the first time. Then, we climb up to 2300m, to Valletta, the heart of Palabione, overlooking the entire town.

Aprica is blessed with long winters and temperatures which always make for abundant snow. Fun is guaranteed, with 50 kilometres of ski slopes suitable for beginner and proficient skiers. Cross country ski slopes are set in uncontaminated areas of naturalistic interest and charming mountain landscapes. Along numerous ski mountaineering and snowshoeing routes immersed in the forests, you will enjoy the authentic nature of the mountains.
